Configuring Thunderbird - IMAP

Follow the steps below to configure Thunderbird (IMAP) to work with PeaMail™

Step 1

Open Thunderbird and go to 'Tools -> Account Settings' as shown:

Press the 'Add Account' button as shown:

Step 3

Select 'Email account' the press 'Next'

Step 4

Enter the name you wish to have displayed when a person receives an email from you in the 'Your Name' field. Example: John Smith or John.

Enter your full PeaMail™ email address in the 'Email Address' field. Example john@mmo.to. Then press 'Next'

Step 5

Select the 'IMAP' as the type of incoming server you will be using.

Each PeaMail™ domain has incoming (IMAP/POP) and outgoing (SMTP) mail servers available. The names of these servers are simply your chosen PeaMail™ domain pre-fixed with 'mail.' Example if you chose mmo.to your incoming mail server would be mail.mmo.to. If you chose seafi.sh you incoming mail server would be mail.seafi.sh. Complete the 'Incoming Server' field as such using the your chosen domain name. Then press 'Next'

Fill out your 'Incoming User Name'. Example john@mmo.to would be 'john'. sarah@seafi.sh would be 'sarah'. Then press 'Next'

Enter a name you wish to identify the account by. We recommend 'PeaMail'. Then press 'Next'

Step 8

Review the new account setting and press 'Finish' when complete.

You will be prompted for your password the first time you collect or send any email. You can choose to have the password remembered.

Your account has been added and you can now use use PeaMail™ with Thunderbird!
